Hi all,

Week two starts with present perfect tense:)

Hello everybody,
I hope everybody is OK .Week two has just started and we have already started to some important things such as the difference between simple past and present perfect .Today we just had a little introduction to present perfect tense. Since there's no present perfect tense in Turkish ,we should be really careful about it. Tomorow we are going to focus on present perfect more and do many exercises about it .

Our third day

Hi everybody,
Today we really had funny lessons and learned some new vocabulary and revised present continious tense . Look at the examples below to remember the uses of present continious tense.

1 Giptagül is chatting on the phone with Emre so she can't do her homework now . (action happening at this moment)
2 Giptagül's brother is in Italy .He's learning Italian there.He's going to return next month. (TEMPORARY ACTIONS happening around now BUT not this moment)
3Sumeyye is having coffee in a coffee shop today. (Future)

Don't use present continious tense with STATE VERBS (be ,know,like,love,hate,dislike,want, need, prefer ,believe ,understand remember)

Ismailcan loves Sumeyye (right)
BUT Ismailcan is loving Sumeyye (WRONG)


We also learned some new words today.These are

provide(v)
customer(n)
staff(n)
include(v)
produce (v) Product (n)
let sb in(v) Dogukan didn't let me in because I was late:)

We also learned a way of studying different word forms.You can use the emtpty list I gave today to study vocab.

we're getting used to each other:)Great!!

Hi all!
It was very nice to see everbody in the class together today . Two new students (sociable Sultan and Cem) joined our A2B team. There were four main course lessons and we finished unit one chapter two today. We learned new words about sleep and sleeping habits and used them in many sentences. These are:

fall asleep(v)
have a lie in(v)
get up(v)
wake up(v)
have a nap(v)
have a snack(v)
have breakfast/lunch/ dinner(v)

I'm sure many of you are familiar with these words from A1 but u should use them in your MEANINGFUL sentences in order not to forget how they're used.

We revised simple present tense and remembered that it is used for daily routines , general truths.We also had a look at some frequency adverbs ( always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever,and never) (Sisters and brothers of always:) and the keywords of simple present tense(everyday,every year,etc.) .

1.2 (page 6 and page 7)is your homework.I hope you enjoyed our lessons today.Do not forget to create a blog in blogger and explain what kind of a person you are (party animal, culture vulture and couch potato) in your blog:)
